Kind of a general ebay question

I found a hat on ebay that I like. It appears I could get a good deal on it, under $10 dlvd. The seller has a lot of positive, but quite a bit of negative feedback as well. The negative feedback seems to be an issue with selling items he doesn't have in stock and long waits, or giving no refunds at all. I can't find the hat anywhere else, or else I would just pay extra and do it through someone more reliable. Should I just go for it since I'd only be out a little cash, or should I steer clear?

If you're paying by paypal you should be able to do a chargeback if something goes wrong. I guess it depends on how much your saving and how soon you need the hat.
