just curious, what's the most consecutive AB's hes gone without getting a hit?

Yea really. Even Mauer never has a lengthy one. I think he wen't like 8 hitless AB's and that was his longest this year. If you hit for average like these guys do, the number is going to be real low

jeez. since july 1st, he's had 4 games with no hits. only 4. wow

there's got to be a more precise way of checking though. (cues leatherman) lol

would you say then that ichiro has the best chance currently in the majors of beating Joe's streak? (if it were ever to be broken)

I don't really understand the question, but I'm just going to say that these 2 guys are just amazing hitters. Nobody can do what Ichiro has done over his first 8-9 years, and no catcher should be doing what Mauer is doing. Its a great time to be a baseball fan.

Not to go darocker on the thread, but Hanley is hitting .351. Not too far off the ichiro/mauer pace.

Thats true, Mauer only had 1 hit tonight and it brought his average below .370. I think he's at .368
