Anybody need a 1996 Donruss Checklist Press Proof Puckett with a small ding in the corner? Saw a reasonably priced BIN and bought an extra.

Nice! Those are hard to find.

Well, it popped up on COMC for sale today at a price I was VERY happy with, so I am quite pleased to cross off another of the tougher ones to come by from his playing days (or, close to his playing days)!

over $100,000, i would not be surprised if it was much higher than that though

I think that's realistic. Outside of the actual 1987 and 1991 World Series trophies, the case can be made that this is the most notable piece of sports memorabilia in Minnesota history.

Being at home I've been sorting through some old photos and found these Puckett-related gems from 1989, 1990, and 1991. The collection has grown a bit since it was at 32 on 6.14.90.

Those pictures are so fun! I remember ripping open rack and jumbo packs of '92 Fleer looking for the ProVisions and Rookie Sensations cards.

I was thinking the same thing.

I guess I should've known this existed, but for whatever reason on my Puckett list (which has evolved from other people's) I never had a 1992 King B square/proof listed.

Anyway, I was pleased to recently pick up the sheet.

There are actually some that are cut up and listed on eBay if anybody needs their guy.

it’s a pet peeve that people call these “proofs”. It’s a collectible made for collectors, not a proof.

i can respect the pet peeve, but these things are commonly referred as proofs everywhere. I’ve started referring to new items that I add as “sheet cuts” when updating my personal collection lists. I just haven’t gone back to change things that were previously added as “proofs.”

I know, it’s just that a proof is very unique whereas these collector sheets are hard to find but nowhere near as challenging.

1996 Kirby Living The Dream Target Video Poster.jpg

Here is a neat oddball poster that you won't see too many off. This was the display poster that target had up for the video tape.

Here is another one from Target when he did a signing for the tape. This was only displayed during the signing.
