Just got this email and I know a few of you have had issues the past few weeks.

Anyone who is owed any money, or knows anyone who is owed any money from Larry Rosselli, LR Cards, please contact Detective Nace with the Ulster County Sherrif's Department in New York. Detective Nace's phone number is (845) 340-3958 or (845) 332-0077 , and you can email him at [email protected] . Larry Rosselli apparently owes between $100,000 - $200,000 to individuals and possibly more than that to various card companies and/or distributors. The detective has already received numerous complaints about Larry and is in the process of gathering information. Detective has spoken to Mr. Rosselli, who claimed he is having financial trouble and will probably file for bankruptcy. Mr. Rosselli has already retained counsel and any further questions through anyone are supposed to go through his lawyer. The detective has advissed no one to accept "partial refunds" or the criminal case turns civil.

And to think I used to buy many cases from him (including 2003/04 Exquisite Basketball) not that long ago without any problems. He was very friendly over the phone and offered good prices, too.

I'm still scratching my head, wondering how everything went south.

wow, i preordered my first case of 08 draft and it went so smoothly. Things just seemed to bottom out. Now i see why he continued to accept money from "low end" buyers, he had to pay off his bigger end people

Yeah, he was great to deal with. Great price. I wonder if they were TOO great.

It seems that he just overextended himself, and had to sell product he didn't actually have.

It really is to bad. Ive preordered from him a few times and my only complaint was his somewhat slow shipping. But his prices always made up for that.

Sorry this has to happen, but not everyone can run a business right.
And you need to pay for your stuff, otherwise it is a criminal offense.

its very simple, if bernie madoff could pull off a 50 billion dollar ponzi scheme with wealthy investors, larry could more than easily do the same thing selling wax. he is not the 1st on ebay. anyone remember doug323232 in washington state ? he did the same thing til it imploded. lots of pre release sales money is used to buy live cases and so on, until larry just owes to much to get out of it. anyone who tries it knows it will fall apart, so it is a crime and he is probably gonna be in serious trouble. him being a nice guy isnt a factor, in the end someone is gonna get screwed. Hopefully no one here got taken.

I was actually going to mention the whole Madoff scheme but didn't want to associate the two without legitimate proof but it does seem that this was a very similar situation. I actually don't have that much of a problem with the practice if you have the capital to cover everything in case of a situation like this, when the economy flops. I certainly would never run/participate or condone this type of practice though

Too many people defended this guy, when the 2008 draft pre-orders hit the fan. Just because you know someone/talk to them/seem nice, doesn't mean what they were doing was not wrong.

Wasnt this posted before but got deleted do to no personal info being listed rule?

Might be so, but if someone has gotten screwed here and needs to know the proper legal procedure, I think this should be available to them. I don't really see why we need to give to craps about his "personal information" being posted here if it could help a board member retrieve money they are rightfully owed.

People defended him because they had dealings with him and were calming down the mobs who said they weren't going to get their orders for that product.
