I will be going to a game in a couple weeks and was wondering if anyone had any hats or shirts that I could trade for. They will be playing the Omaha Royals and it will be my first Minor League Baseball experience. I'm really looking forward to it. Does anyone else ever go to their games? Should I bring baseballs to get them autographed? Do they usually sign before games if I get there early enough? Thanks for any information you guys!

Never been to the 51's stadium, but generally at minor league parks, the players are easy to meet and get autographs. The MiLB I go to here on the East Coast, I generally get 15-25 Autographs a night.

Good luck, and most of all have fun!

I've been there once when the Dodgers were the 51's. Cool park, cheap seats, caught a foul ball, and lots of autographs! Most will sign before the game and some will sign after. Bring photos, balls, cards, even bats. Good luck and enjoy! :P

Great stadium for watching a game and getting autographs. Im there every Thursday they are in town($1 beer nights)...Both base lines are pretty open for getting players from what I can see. Also I think Mondays are $1 food stuff, not sure. Check out the website and maybe we'll see you out there!
Dan
btw- the stadium is in a less than safe hood, so I wouldn't cruise around after looking for a Dennys.

You pretty much covered everything. I would take some balls to get autos, the players are very fan friendly(well most of the ones I have had interaction with) and I've never had problems getting autos. I usually go early in the season because after early June the heat is unbearable. Have fun!

Thanks guys - I'm pretty excited to check it out. I'll be going on a Sunday afternoon so hopefully I won't have any problems in the "hood" afterward. I assume there will be cabs that I can catch to get back to the strip afterwards? I'm planning on bringing a couple bats and about a dozen balls (just in case). Can I bring a backpack into the park? I would like to bring a blue sharpie with for the on-bat autos and probably just a blue ink ballpoint pen for the baseballs.

Pretty nice minor league stadium. I was unlucky enough to go when it was 90+ outside and sit in the sun. I had sunburn and was beyond sweating by like the bottom of the 1st. We managed to sit in those seats until about the 5th inning when we finally moved up to the seats underneath the overhang where it was in the shade. It was so bad I was getting up and walking around the concourse and going to the bathroom simply to cool off and not be in the sun.

Not really sure about how easy it is to get autographs, but others seem to say it's pretty easy. So I'd trust their judgment. :)
