Granted this article relates to hky, but ITG has made baseball.

By Susan Lulgjuraj | Editor

Leaf Trading Cards and In The Game Trading Cards have formed a partnership, the companies announced on Saturday at an event at the Sportcard & Memorabilia Expo.

New products will come out with the two companies working together, adding elements from each to make new products. The first product under the new partnership will be a hockey draft prospects release that comes out in June.

“This is just what the hobby needs,” said Leaf CEO Brian Gray in a telephone interview. “One license is not enough. Me and Brian (Price) both feel it’s right to work together and take on what we think is an unfair monopoly for collectors.”

Gray says that In The Game provides great content while Leaf will have a hand in new designs and adding elements from his brand that collectors have enjoyed. Leaf will also handle distribution and solicitation for all the products under the new partnership.

“This gives us an opportunity to create creative products,” Gray said. “The two of us together realize there is an incredible value in working together.”

While the two outlets will be working together, ITG will retain its name on hockey products.

Leaf and ITG will reveal specific details of the partnership in the coming weeks.

But I thought the fabulous collaboration between Leaf and Rize was what the hobby needed?

Were the people making a killing selling Puig's first ever autos not saying that last season.
Correct. Same with Abreu this season, before his Chromes hit.
Leaf cards can sell for big bucks because they often have autographs of hot rookies before Topps does.
The key is selling early, because prices drop when the licensed cards come out.

Thanks for all the positivity , lol.... ITG's amazing vintage memorabilia and their framework, coupled with Leaf's creativity will make a difference.

The first product from Leaf will be In The Game Draft/Prospects Hockey... You will see some immediate positive Leaf influence with more to come.

At the ITG party last night, I was humbled by the support and excitement from some of the biggest hockey collectors anywhere.

Collectors do not want an exclusive. With Panini's exit from the hockey market, Leaf/ITG will be the alternative (and force Upper Deck do continue providing reasonable value).

No... Leaf is a standalone business.. We will continue to do baseball as we have..

ITG is going to be a hockey only brand going forward.
More details will follow, but I can sure you Dr. Price consulting with Leaf will result in an improved hockey product...

I actually love this idea. I think if they can work together well the combined product will be much stronger.
