Leaf Announces Jose Abreu Autographed
Cards are In-House and Ready to Ship!
The hobby’s first-ever on-card autographs of the Cuban first
baseman are en route to customers today
Carrollton, TX (Oct. 30, 2013) – Leaf Trading Cards is proud to announce that the
hobby’s first-ever, on-card autographs of Jose Abreu are shipping to customers today!
Redemption cards for Abreu’s autographed cards packed out inside Leaf’s 2013 Metal
Draft Baseball product two-and-a-half weeks ago and the actual signed cards are now
in-house and rolling out to customers.
“This marks a big day in Leaf’s history,” said Leaf President Brian Gray. “We are
extremely proud to be the first trading card company to deliver on-card autographs of
Jose Abreu to the collector base.”
What’s more, on-card autographs of Abreu will pack out live inside Leaf’s 2013 Baseball
Memories product, which is scheduled to ship in two weeks.
Leaf officials have always focused on bringing cards of the hottest young players in
baseball to the industry. Reminiscent of Leaf’s inclusion of Los Angeles Dodgers star
Yasiel Puig’s first-ever, on-card autographs in four of its 2012 baseball products, Abreu’s
on-card autographs represent another major hobby coup. The former professional first
baseman in the Cuban National Series defected to the United States just three months
ago to test the free-agent market. Less than two weeks ago, he signed a six-year, $68
million contract with the Chicago White Sox.
