I just left feedback for a great member here on FCB. I know this member has taken care of many of our collecting needs. I was shocked to see he had only 10 Feedbacks listed. This system can be useful if used.

I hate when people don't leave feedback here, ebay, or anywhere.

Then they'll complain when they get burnt from somebody because there wasn't feedback there to give them a projection.

Feedback is useful on any site.

Here is a little different than what I'm used to on TCC; TCC gives automatic "feedback" (completed transaction) when a trade is successfully completed.

Here, like on eBay, it's up to each member to give appropriate feedback. This has its advantages and disadvantages, in my opinion.

For example, a trade could go smooth on both ends, but one member fails to leave feedback (disadvantage). Conversely, despite a trade being completed negative feedback can be left if a member made things hard (possibly an advantage of the system).

I leave feedback. I find it annoying though that I have participated in group breaks and not gotten feedback. I paid quickly and even left positive for the person that did the break.

Yes, FB should be a two way street. You get a PM message when someone was nice enough to leave for you, just reciprocate.

I always leave feedback here and and other sites. I find it very useful, especially when considering whether to send PP payment as a "gift" to save the seller some money on fees.

Although I don't consider group breaks part of that, especially on the part of the guy running it, he already has enough to worry about.

I try to always leave feedback. I think its an outstanding tool. I have thought twice about dealing with some members who have multiple negative's. It is always something I look into while talking to members.

I will PM you as well, your Wes Hodges Bat arrived yesterday.....I need to figure a better way to package it, it was sent in a Louisville Slugger box. After Domino had his bat stole I dont want the same. Oh and Gagne finally arrived as well.

It works when used.I'm still waiting on a response from the mod i PMed last week about a problem i had.I'm just sick and tired of members agreeing to buy something and you pull cards, package them for shipment, just to findout they aren't interested or won't respond to pm's.

It just a waste of time and i know i'm not the only member who is fed up with this!

I hear you. I understand that group breaks are very time consuming for the breakers and that mutiple people get in on them but it should be a given to "thank" the buyers of the group break with a simple feedback.

Here's a question: when you leave FB here and you check the box for "buyer", "seller", or "trade", are you checking the box (buyer/seller) for the part YOU played in the transaction, or the part THE OTHER GUY played in the transaction.

I have been going along, leaving FB here, then i stopped for a second the other day and asked myself that question.

If I sell something, am I checking the "seller" box and leaving feedback so others know that these comments came from "the seller"; or should I check the "buyer" box and leave feedback so others know that these comments are about him "as a buyer"?

And vice versa. I bet I've left 50+ fb and just recently asked myself that question. I think I was doing it as MY ROLE in the transaction.

the feedback process on this site is going to change with the introduction of the trade manager

hive17, the feedback you leave should describe your experience, so check the box that indicates your role

 I've always viewed it just the opposite. Like eBay, I figured if Joe Blow sold or traded a card to me, I'd leave feedback describing his/her role so others could determine his/her trustworthiness in the future. Oh well.

In addition to "buy", "sell", and "trade", it would be nice (IMO) to also have the additional choice of "other" on the pull-down menu when leaving feedback. That way we could give a positive for "freebies". Maybe call it "freebies" instead of "other". Just my opinion.

The feedback system is currently managed by policy. It is wide open to where anyone can leave feedback regardless of an actual transaction taking place or not. When the trade manager system comes in, the only way to leave feedback will be to process the trade through the manager. We have to close this system up to avoid stupid little retaliatory feedback tiffs like hey, he called me a ****** on the message board so I am going to leave him negative feedback even though I didn't trade with him.

Obviously if people want to continue the old style of trading via the message board, and are comfortable with the idea of not being able to leave feedback, they can do so.

I always leave feedback, I wont delete trade PMs unitl I do. Sometimes people forget to leave feedback, so I just send them a polite request to do so and its always done. The feedback is one of my favorite features of these boards, but its the memebers that make it all worth coming back.

Yes, I have seen one of these the other day, for a trade that never happened
