I'm just a little bored and looking on ebay just for the hell of it.

rasmus28-stl leaves negative feedback for sellers if they don't receive positive feedback. This is an obvious abuse of the system. No I never sold that person anything.

largent34 12 negative feedback given out for what appears to be slow international shipping.

Who you got on the list of odd ducks?

It always amazes me when sellers refuse to leave feedback when the buyers does everything right which IMO is an abuse of the system also. I have yet to receive feedback for my last 4 transactions and I have left positives for them and while I would never leave a negative for it it is absolutely frustrating that they are above leaving feedback unless its a negative.

Feedback is.............OPTIONAL!

Optional - [op-shuh-nl]

adjective

1. left to one's choice; not required or mandatory: Formal dress is optional.
2. leaving something to choice.

I have a lot of crap to do sometimes and don't feel like leaving feedback. About once every couple months I'll go back and do it all at once. If a buyer left me a negative because I didn't leave prompt feedback I assure you I would get seriously pissed off.

Thanks for the English lesson. Have a great "day" /de?/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [dey] Show IPA
–noun
1. the interval of light between two successive nights; the time between sunrise and sunset: Since there was no artificial illumination, all activities had to be carried on during the day.
2. the light of day; daylight: The owl sleeps by day and feeds by night.

as a seller i give pos feedback (if it is deserved) as soon as payment is received and cards have been shipped.

as a buyer i expect the same thing. (i know the new seller's program in my "my ebay" screen allows you to leave pos feedback to any and all of the auctions you choose to rather than having to do it one at a time like a buyer...making it way more efficient so there is no reason that a seller can say it is too time consuming to leave it for multiple sellers when it now just takes a few clicks on the mouse). now i do not leave a neg for no pos left, i just leave one star in the communication department if they not only do not leave feedback but fail to at least send me a thank you email or send me my DC for the item(s). i understand the star ratings usually dont matter to some people, but if you want to be a powerseller and get the discounts (and that lame little trophy) then that couple of point drop off matters.

i always go out of my way for my buyers and i guess i just expect the same in return.

Any buyer or seller that cries about not getting feedback needs to take their hands off of the keyboard and mouse and go outside and get a life.

As a buyer, I leave feedback when I receive the item. As a seller, I leave feedback as soon as feedback is received. If everyone followed this guideline, no one could ever complain. I also find it amusing when people stress over getting feedback when it is entirely OPTIONAL.

Rasmus28 is a weirdo. I declined an offer of his for $300 on a Wright Chrome XFractor AU BGS 9.5 and said "not even close". He responded with profanities saying how stupid I was.

I suggest everybody blocks him.

The member qubicky lowballed me on a card once, and I declined by responding, "you are very close, bid again!!" They tried to bid again, but I blocked them purposefully because I was sick of being lowballed. I recieved a message with lots of profanities.

I don't personally complain about feedback issues, but why should the seller wait until after the buyer leaves feedback to also leave it? The buyer has completed their end of the transaction, so the seller should leave it then.

Because feedback is about the WHOLE transaction, not just part of it. What if they buyer scams you? You still going to be happy you left pos. fb?

Not saying the guy’s doing the right thing (imo sellers should only be negged when they’re horrible- like the guy I paid 3/31 who supposedly printed a shipping label 2wks ago and while we live in the same state, the item hasn’t come + he’s not answered ANY emails or the paypal dispute).

While fb’s optional, no real point in withholding it b/c

A. you can’t neg buyers
B. you can automate it for free (in ebay itself or in auctiva and other programs)
C. it generates ‘goodwill’ w/buyers- which may lead to repeat business for you

I automated fb as a seller yrs ago and don't worry about it any longer. as a buyer, i rarely leave it b/c i can't automate it.

So what if as a buyer I'm worried about the seller leaving feedback that says I took too long to pay or something? Could just turn into a waiting game.

Taking too long to pay is a lot different than using fraudulent paypal or claiming non-reciept. I always wait to get FB from buyers to make sure the transaction is completed fine for both parties.
