I think LeBron just broke Ricky Henderson's record for most time speaking about himself in the 3rd person.

How about Lebron, Shaq and Jamison? Duncan, Parker, Ginobili? Nash, Richardson, Amare?

They had Nash, Joe Johnoson, Amare, and one more I can't remember. Their problem is Nelli Ball will never win a Championship.

jamison is not even CLOSE to wade or bosh and shaq is at the end of his career, im sorry but that was just a dumb statement

once agian parker and ginobli are NO WERE NEAR wade and bosh and they still one championships

nash richardson and amare is flat out laughable, its obvious you dont wathc basketball

Amare, Nash and Joe Johnson.
Now whats your excuse going to be? Too young? A white guy thrown in there doesnt count? The laughing is at you trying to justify yourself...and failing. You might watch more basketball but you clearly dont know more about what leads a team to wins.

really joe johnson? you do know he was not good on the suns right?

I figured you'd have a garbage excuse. Bosh wasnt all that spectacular his first couple of years either. He STILL isnt a superstar. Is he good? Hell yes he's good. One of the most agile big man in the league. Superstar, no, not at all....at least not yet.[/quote:312xayh2]

what does bosh's first couple of years have to do with the all star that he is now? my point was that joe johnson wasnt good when he played for the suns...not that hard to understand.[/quote:312xayh2]

Being an ALL STAR doesnt make you a SUPERSTAR. Joe Johnson has always been good. He's just gotten better. I've watched him since he played at Arkansas. His stats got better because he went from a team where he was a secondary star to a team where he was the main attraction. You get more shots, you'll probably score more points. THATS not hard to understand.[/quote:312xayh2]

so your telling me nash/amare/and joe johnson equals wade/bron/bosh?[/quote:312xayh2]

NO, YOU keep saying that. Nobody except YOU has been comparing players against each other. You said theres never been a team with 3 stars and you were given several that had 3 stars. Until they win a couple, they're just a team with 3 good players. Trying to say that these 3 guys are going to play the same TOGETHER as they have INDIVIDUALLY is more than enough to laugh at.

He said this was a humbling experience. I don't think he knows what that means.

I'm glad I didn't hear him say that.

I'm just wondering what players are going to take the league min to come to Miami--I'm guessing maybe Shaq, even though he got a couple decent offers from the Celtics and Hawks.
There will be a few surprises that end up in Miami to play with those three, and they didnt have a bad draft, if even one of them pans out of the second round

Well finally, glad to put a end to all the talk and rumors. Now fire up the Heat bandwagon. I don't recall any Heat fans here but I'm sure there will be now.

You're right, averaging 17 points in his final year with the Suns, while shooting .461% from the field is definitely "not good"

I'll say it again - I hope the freaking Thunder's growth process is expediated. Durant averages 30+ takes Kobe's mantle as the best scorer/clutch player in the league and they run by this Heat "Super-team".

Wonder if Wade will put up with his lame-ass pre-game skits and complicated handshakes during the game......it's all fun and games for James until he gets punched back in the mouth and can't fight back.

We don't know the details of all their contracts yet. There's still one piece left out there that people keep forgetting. Chris Paul. All four of them made a pact at the Olympics in China to play together. He's a FA after next season. Those 3 maybe left enough money on the table to sign CP3. If they do then I don't see any team beating them for a remainder of their contracts.

This will be the first season I will ever potentially root for the Celtics. If the Celtics face the Heat in the playoffs, then go celtics.

Does the league let The Heat play with two basketballs in their games?

Works for me. Long as the Heat don't win a championship.

The biggest shock tonight for me was learning that they have a Boys & Girls club in Greenwich.

I just have one question for you. If talent equals success (which you are pretty adamant about) how do you explain Team USA from 2001-2006? They had nothing but superstars they failed. Coach K brings in role players and they start winning again.

Why all the hate for LeBron? Is it just all the Prima Donna BS and ego stroking so far this summer? It looks like it actually wasn't about the money and it was about winning.

Im sure he'll have some sort of explanation. Im sure it will be a joke, but he will try to justify. No real good justification though.

Not to bring it back up - but this is to whoever said the Lakers weren't a super-team.
Obviously Shaq and Kobe were in their prime - but you dismissed both Malone and Payton......yes they were older, but here were their stat lines the year before. These were the numbers they were bringing to LA.

Malone - 20.6 PPG 7.8 Reb

Payton - 20.4 PPG 8.3 Ast 4.2 reb

So really- you're going to say those 2 were bums? Granted the age left them with a very small window, but you're going to say that wasn't on par with this at least for that immediate year after?

He only said they were bums because it supported his argument.

Yup that's why I had to look up some facts and numbers.
Cause really I remember it was a BIG deal.....and I knew there wouldn't have been that hype and attention for a couple older players averaging 10 pts or something.
