That kid will have a story (and video/news headlines) to take with him the rest of his life. I see no problem with it. It's not like he stole the the kids drink or ripped up a sign the kid had. Not to mention he didn't Ron Artest/Stephen Jackson anybody.

Sports should be fun and entertaining...and that was.

I'm sure the interaction was worth it for the kid not to have a few fries.
Agreed.

This is far from the first time stuff like this has happened.
I remember seeing many others doing this. Shaq comes to mind.
Have seen it alot with popcorn.

Big deal. Bet it was cool for the kid.

[quote="Tomlinson21RB":rhpx7te9] You're, in my opinion, a baseball fan more than any other sport.

And your opinion would be incorrect.

My bad then. I only see you posting on the baseball board and pretty much focusing on prospects. So I guess you're just an uptight basketball or football fan. I apologize.

If uptight means someone who would rather not have a stranger take something right out of my hands then I guess I'm guilty.

Like I said, too each his own. You're more worried about one of the best basketball players in the world taking 1-2 french fries from you whereas I'm thinking of the story I'd then have for the rest of my life to tell my friends. I understand your point, but it's not like he took the cup or tray of french fries out of a kids hand and dumped it on the ground.

I don't get starstruck by anyone, including him. No one. Athletes are human beings just like the rest of us. Celebrities are human beings like the rest of us. Some of us react negatively when our personal space gets invaded, no matter who it is. If my favorite athlete did the same thing I'd have the same reaction.

Again, I realize I'm in the minority here, but no one will change my opinion.[/quote:rhpx7te9]

Nobody is trying to change your opinion, JP.

The point is that what LeBron did was something that more athletes should do - pay attention to the kids whose parents pay exhorbitant amounts of money to see them swing a bat or dribble a basketball or throw a football, etc.

LeBron James made that kid's day, month, year, etc. He never - I REPEAT NEVER - would've taken the french fry from an adult.

And to all of those people who are calling LeBron arrogant, I have news for you -THE MAJORITY OF PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES ARE ARROGANT.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but this is just blatant, flat-out arrogance to me. Clearly the kid had no problem with it, but if he'd done this to me I would have thrown the fries at him. It's disgusting and violates my personal space. Maybe he wouldn't have done it at all if it were me - I'm just saying what I would have done if he had.

Just my opinion.

No. No, actually you wouldn't have.

I swear, people will complain about anything. Get over yourselves. The kid didn't have a problem with it, why should anyone else? Let me ask you this, if that kid got to choose between a few fries or a story to tell the rest of his life, which one do you think he would choose? I mean seriously. If you arent Lebron, the kid, or the kids family, then this does not affect you. Go find something else to complain about.

PS....I am not a Lebron supporter either.

THANKED. If I could thank it again, I would. Some people are just clowns that like to bitch about anything. That moment made that kids day, maybe even his whole year. LeBron was having a little fun. More athletes should take note of this and interact with fans from time to time. It make for good publicity and brings them down to earth. You're personal space? Maybe he wouldn't have done it to you?!  Friggin rich.

I wouldn't have minded sharing my fries with Lebron.

I feel the exact same. How awesome would that be to say Lebron James ate some of your fries.

I'd have shared my fries too, and I'm not a LeBron fan. Now if he tried to drink from my Pepsi, especially with the straw, I'd be banned from all Cavs games for my reaction

LeBron is the best thing to happen to the NBA in decades! Obviously there will be a ton of haters. There always is when someone is great. Jealousy is the reason.
