Legendary cards, legendary sets

When I picked this card up a little while back it me thinking about trying to pick up cards that stand apart from the rest for one reason or another. There have been so many sets produced over the last decade, and so many cards of each player made that it's a rare piece to do so.

I picked this one up a while back:

And felt that this one was worthy as well:

What cards/set do you feel stand out from the rest (not just the one's you personally like, but those that the hobby also recognize as iconic cards and sets.)

I'd love to add the dual auto as well but it would cost more than double what I paid for these together. On top of that, if not authenticated, there is concern of legitimacy, which is no worry on the individual ones.

2001 Topps Golden Anniversary

Even the scrubs from this set still pull good coin.

There were some seriously dope sets in the first few years of the 2000s. I feel that stuff fell off hard after that.

I paid around $800 for the copy I used to have, but that seems pretty solid. Beautiful card.

That was a gorgeous set. Were different cards inserted at varying degrees of difficulty? For some reason I seem to recall the Aaron and Koufax were particularly tough...

yeah 2000 GOTG was an amazing set. Man the stuff that hit 99-2001 was some of the best, where is that kind
of effort today? All from packs that were a few bucks a piece!
