There was an early Score Walt Weiss card that I loved as a kid, I'll have to do some digging for that one

I chose the photos for all of 2002 Topps, and this is my favorite.

As an interesting aside, I loved this shot and wanted to use it, but the baseball was much higher in the actual photograph. Piatt had clearly made a great effort but missed the home run ball. I asked the retouchers to move the ball down a bit so that whether or not he had made the catch was open to interpretation.'


Is that unethical as a baseball card editor?

I love that Mickey Hatcher! I remember pulling that as a kid and laughing when I saw it

Semi-seriously, there is also this one. I remember seeing this card once in person, and I forever knew the name "Oscar Gamble"

I'll buzz back through and find my real one though. Those ^ were just for a cheap laugh, possibly, although everyone has already seen them before.

I think that's pretty cool. It adds a little oddity to the card that I'm sure very few people know about.
