Weaver was one of Fresno States finest, too bad the Tigers rushed him to the majors and he never recovered his form.

I can't decide if it's more ridiculous that you wrote it, copied it, saved it, or posted it.

seitas - post thanked. Would love to hear what his response is.

I thought it was funny!

We forget though how good of a pitcher you really have to be to win 10 games, keep a career era under 5, and strikeout 150 batters multiple seasons.

He was certainly not the best pitcher in the world but there have been far worse.

The amount of time it probably took to do it and the fact that after a sentence or 2 he most likely threw it away is kinda funny too!

I don't think you have a 5 year old's hand writing. I think you have a 14 year old's hand writing, but the bubble you use at the bottom of the exclamation point would suggest it being a female 14 year old..
Exactly what i was thinking.

Dude, love him or hate him, he's going to be him.

I kind of liked Jeff Weaver. I mean there have been better pitchers but even though he hid it well in STL I think he still got frustrated alot. Sometimes that biting the glove yelling is a stress relief and you go on to get the next guy. In STL he never really showed emotion on the mound just determination. That is really all you can ask out of the guy, go out throw strikes, spot pitches and help us win this game. When we needed him to be clutch he was clutch. Game 5 was clutch. I don't know if I really wanted him to come back to the Cardinals it seemed like he had something against LaRussa or something. Cardinals fans are supposed to be the best in the world and this is a very poor display of that, Sam I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

It would be funny if this "horrible pitcher" uncorked a 95mph heater at your head. I bet his accuracy would be good enough, even as inflated as your head gets at times.

Oh good, we are to the point in the read where the responses to the OP are more over the top than the letter.

disclaimer - I stopped reading the letter very early and could be wrong...

Sam, I told everyone that if Weaver left he'd have a horrible year...I was correct. I appreciate our franchise's 10th WS championship though and he played a significant part.

I thought we were just having fun with the thread and with Sam himself. He's a good sport and for the most part, liked my the majority of the board.

Haha, no offense taken whatsoever from anyone. Like I don't think some people won't give me garbage, lol. I'm a big boy. If I can dish it out I can take it.

I am thinking of writing a similar letter to AJ Burnett. Do you mind if I use yours as a frame of reference? Oh and Sam, please change that vile avatar photo.
