FYI yesterday when I saw a fat white guy in Kansas wearing the Lin jersey, I knew the fad had peaked, and only goes downhill from here.

Screw you,

I hope Cal-GARY gets jumped by everybody down to my Ducks AND the Oil win a ton of games!

And Crazy Al rises to ruin another Draft!

But thanks for pointing it out...

Odds that this guy gets paid for this auction? I'd say over/under of 15%.

You know morons who see him on ESPN will jump at the chance to bid with no intention of paying.

The dude seems to know the market. It's actually one of the few times I've seen a card collector interviewed on national TV where he made sense.

It is true that basketball hasn't taken as big a hit. There are literately 100s of modern cards going for 5k+ in basketball on ebay right now. It's not happening in baseball.

Too bad, because I like baseball cards more. :|

It's all good.
You also have a tough time selling anything in basketball if it's not a high-end hit from one of a handful of players.

Collecting all 3 sports I've always enjoyed the fact that baseball seems to have a ton more set collectors, team collectors, player collectors.......If you buy a box you can wind up with quite a few cards to sell and trade. Basketball has always seemed more like the lottery. You would bust looking for the Jordan's and Lebron's from the sell-sheet, not get them and wind up with about 10% ROI.

That's a good point. 90% of the big selling cards are Jordan and Lebron.
