There was talk about him being the best pitcher in the NL or even baseball at the beginning of the season,
two games in he has done nothing, getting pasted by a bad Padres team...anyone worried yet? I know there
are tons of guys here with stashes.

Yes, it's often a sign of career death when the first week of the season brings struggles.

I'd be shocked if the Giants don't release him by tomorrow morning.

As long as he is healthy and can strikeout people i am not too worried. His curveball was looking good tody.

Did you watch the game? It might behoove you to do so if you're going to make claims like "pasted by a bad Padres team."

+1. Take away fred lewis two plays its a totally different ball game.
(yes the second play also affected lincecum. Mentally he wonders if his defense can really support him and more runners on base and physically forcing him throw more pitches)

I didn't need to watch the game I looked at the box and he got blown up. 10 hits, 3 walks and 4 earned runs
in only 5 innings. Last I checked the Padres and Hundley wern't known for their offense. Great pitching year
after year is perhaps the rarest thing in baseball. Perhaps we threw Lincy in the group too early?

Perhaps you should watch a game before you pass judgments about players. Last time I checked when pitchers have to get four and five outs per inning they tend to give up more runs.

two games, too early to judge anything. i mean cc, hamels, webb, halladay all got rocked. lets see all these aces pitch for a month or two and get back in the groove. if lincecum or any other pitcher still is struggling then well...

+1 with llwesman. the defense is what really killed lincecum

Fred Lewis wasn't throwing them in there like beach balls was he?
