Live.com and Ebay Bucks...can't combine?

I tried to do a BIN with the Live.com discount and the ebay bucks but it would not let me. I guess if you have a "message" on the top of the page (whatever that message is) prevents the "live.com message" from appearing.

Is this the case for everyone? No biggie, just wanted to see if I was doing something wrong.

I was able to combine them about 3 weeks ago without a problem. Not sure if the rules have changed, but it worked fine for me.

They can be combined, remember the ebay bucks are earned when you pay so you may not see it when you win the card...

Not only have I combined Live.com with Ebay bucks in the last few days, I've also started stacking on Ebates cashback for an extra 3% cashback. Incase you're interested EBates

Oh well, I might have been doing something wrong. Here is what I do:

1. Search for the item (bring up the auction page with the BIN).
2. Log into Live.com...search...then click on the sponsored link with the 8% (which takes me to ebay)
3. Then, go back to the auction page and hit refresh to see the icon on the top of the page...I didn't see it at all...just the ebay bucks symbol

What am I doing wrong or different from everyone else?

I just did it exactly the way you described to check and it worked perfectly. Odd
