"Yep check out this card I paid $300 for, this piece of pants is guaranteed to have been directly over Mike Trout's dingdong during a major league game!"
This made me laugh out loud while at work... so good... nice job.

At least you can identify where it is on the uniform. That plain white piece of cloth attributed to Pablo Sandoval? Could be from the chest, the back, the armpit, the gunt, anywhere.

A Peyton Manning game used football card in a Colts uniform like this please.
http://m.ebay.com/itm/121534691415?nav=SEARCH

"This material is guaranteed by Panini..."
Meaning what? It is a real football? It's a real NFL football? It was used in an NFL game? The guy on the card touched it once? That's the most generic thing I've ever seen...don't think I'd be too pumped over that one

Note that I said a game used football. I hate the generic verbage used on cards today.

This made me think about if it is a nameplate, you at least know it is your players bat... the knob could be from any players bat, right? Same with the logomen. Just a thought that came to my mind.

Generic knobs aren't that great in My opinion , if they have either the player # or size / weight (that you can say a player used) then it is unique.

One thing that hasn't been said , is the name plate letters , or multiple letters. I like them , just hard to compete a run on individual ones. @Heavy Hitter has some nice Ginter name plates that have multiple letters or full names and those look great.

Oh no, I'm not criticizing what you said by any means, all my comments were about the card in the eBay link you posted. I mean come on, that could be a Walmart purchased football that they put in a card and said "they guarantee the material", meaning, yes, it is a football

My biggest problem with knobs is whenever I search "Topps Knob," this thing comes up:
