Wow. :o

Sorry but Brian Matusz got screwed again. By my unofficial count, that's 4 good starts ruined late, either by him or the bullpen. I know his ERA is just over 4.00 still, but he's only given up over 3 runs in a game twice this year. Pretty solid for a guy who doesn't even have a full season in yet. If it wasn't for the collapses on his starts, he'd be 5-3 or so and probably an All-Star.

Grienke, Hanson, Gallardo, Oswalt, and Matusz have all had horrible luck this season.

Over the past 10 or so years, I've drafted and kept each one of those pitchers. Needless to say, I'm not particularly happy about the way the cookie has crumbled.

BTW, our rule regarding fantasy has always been "must be in the Yahoo player pool at the start of the year in order to keep" and just recently, like 3 years ago maybe, yahoo started adding the solid prospects to the pot.

This year, Mike Leake not in the player pool, but completely random players in double-a were.

Indeed Matusz pitched a great game, and indeed he should've won. But he really hasn't pitched like an All-Star this year at all. I've seen everyone of his starts and IMO, his record fairly reflects his performance. Maybe an additional win.

Yes he's been screwed out of 2, maybe 3 wins, but a couple of his wins he had (surprisingly) a ton of run support and didn't pitch well.

Needless to say I'm excited to see how he finishes this year as he is one of the very few bright spots on the O's this year.

Throw Josh Johnson into that grouping too ...
