Lookin for information about a Pete Rose card

Someone in my family recently emailed me asking about a Pete Rose card they have from 1960...and I didn't have any info about it but I told him I knew a place where someone might

Anyway, the only information he gave me was that it is a 1960 card, and it says: 1960 prior to draft, signed as free agent 7/8/60.He also sent me a really blurry picture of it, but it is blurry enough that none of the words on it are readable. I did not recognize the design to be from a specific year, but then again, I don't deal much with stuff prior to the 1990s.

If you could show the scan/pic, that would probably help.

My guess is, in 1986 Topps made a special 120 card Pete Rose set. I would think that the card is probably from that set. I'll be honest, I am a huge Rose fan and I have collected him for years, but I am not the most knowledgable. There are a couple of other Rose collectors on here that could probably be more helpful like sschauer (sp?).

Could be...I don't think he knows much about cards, but I don't know much about pre-1990 stuff.

That's a 1978 Topps. I just pulled mine to look at the back of it. On the top where it has info like DOB and such it says Signed: Reds - Prior to Draft. So yeah, it's a standard 1978 Topps card.

How could he think it's a 1960 card? Wouldn't the stats from 1963-1977 tip you off that it's from somewhere farther in the future?
