I need just 2 cards to finish my set of 2009/10 Bowman '48 Basketball Autograph set:
Larry Bird & Bill Walton.
If you have them I would be willing to buy them from you. Please let me know what your asking price is.

Gave up on my quest. A few Bird and Walton's started showing up on Ebay, but it would have cost me over $300 to get them both. I decided to sell the other 28 on Ebay and got $307 plus shipping. Around what I paid for them.

I took some of that money and bought a case of 2008/09 Topps Jumbo Basketball for $212.50 and got these hits along with other auto's, relics, sets and inserts:

George Hill RC Black Parallel 24/51
Corey Maggette Rip Card 76/99
Bill Russell SP "58-59 Variation Relic
Dwight Howard Cyan Printing Plate 1/1
Derrick Rose Photo Shoot Autograph Books at $200
Derrick Rose McDonald's All American Autograph: Books at $250

I saw your ebay auctions the other day, too bad you couldn't complete the set. I didn't realize the Bird and Walton would cost so much. I actually pulled a Magic and Jerry West auto (sweet because I'm a Laker fan) and the Magic only goes for somewhere in the $40s and the West the $30s.

As for the case you got, you did very nicely with two Rose autos. Very, very nice.

I saw your 2 Rose Autos on ebay and thought that they could be fake but now I am more willing to bid on them...do they have a Topps sticker on the back??

Neither have stickers, but none of them do. I pulled the Blake Griffin McD's from this past year and it didn't have one either.

The McDonald's one just says "Certified Autograph" above his signature. The non-autographed set is of an action picture, I had the set previously. So I would imagine a fake would be difficult.

The Photo shoot auto doesn't have a non-auto version, so a fake would be near impossible. On the back it says: "The signing of all Topps Autograph cards is witnessed by Topps representatives to guarantee authenticity".

Thanks for the explanation. But, the Football photo shoot autos had tons of fakes where people would make copies of the card unsigned (with the "certified autograph" words included) and forge the signature! That's why these photoshoot autos are a crapshoot (unless one knows it was pulled...like in your case...from a pack)!

You're not alone, because I got several emails when I listed the Blake Griffin asking how I knew it was real, since I was one of the first to get one out of the packs and list it on Ebay.
The 2009/10 McD's AA were strange because I think there were a few given out ahead of time, plus some of the were from different years because Topps was trying to unload the cards they had since they were loosing their license.
I got $350 for the Griffin, which they then started to go for much less as time went on, but the first few that were listed months before you could pull one sold for like $500-$700 I think.
I really don't know what the Rose will go for, since I haven't seen one online for sometime. I am willing to bet there are less than 100 of these based on the pack odds.
