I had sold an item back in June, and received payment on the 26th of that month. It was a Canadian bidder with roughly 10-12 feedback. The item was under $2.00, and shipping was $3.50.

I just now today get a message claiming they never received. Over 1 month (44 days to be exact). after payment was received. They currently still only have 15 feedback.

Of course I don't have an international tracking number because it would be like $15 on a $2 item.

From now on, I'm going to charge the extra arm and leg for any Canadian who wants to bid because of this.

Is he even within the time to claim that an item wasn't received? I thought it was 30 days, and I don't have the time to read through the ToS on eBay or PayPal until later tonight.

I had a few minutes to look

You have up to 45 days to open a dispute in eBay or PayPal, and there are up to 60 days to leave feedback.

I look at it this way, if someone is that hard up to try and scam me for a $5 item, then more power to them, they obviously need the money more than I do.

I'd just give them the refund and call it good.

On that though, I'd maybe suggest having the person go check their local PO first. I've heard stories of items shipping to Canada being held at the PO for whatever reason, and maybe the buyer didn't any notice about it being there.

That's good advice. I'll recommend that to them. I will be offering a replacement item first and go from there.
