Haven't been around these parts much due to family circumstances- home, kids, college, summer, etc....

Exciting news is one of my boys is getting married in a year and I am acquiring Red Sox player t-shirts to make a Red Sox t-shirt quilt for him and fiance (or rather have someone make it).

If anyone has a Red Sox t-shirt in either red, blue, gray or green (shamrock front) with name and number on the back (size kids large and above) for the following players I would pay a few bucks to acquire it:

Kapler, Pedro, Uehara, Millar, Coco Crisp, Lowell, Bellhorn, Timlin, Salty, Okajima, Mirabelli, Gomes, Lowe, Reese, JD or Stephen Drew, Arroyo, Embree, Cabrera, Mueller, Boegart, Peavy, Mientkiewicz (sp??)

I am only including contributing players on one of the three WS winning teams. I have 21 at this time and hope to get 7-10 on the list above.

Shirt needs to be in decent shape but don't want to pay too much since the shirt will be cut up.

Thanks for the assist- PM me or post here if you can help and let me know your price with shipping.

I just went thru my inventory, and the only jersey shirts I have are a pair of Matsuzaka in Red, and in blue. I didnt see him on your list, but if you need em, let me know.

If you come up short, I also have a shirt with the 2007 AL Champion Roster on the back. Has all the players names listed...

Nomar and Adrian Gonzalez exempt to design since they were my sons favorites (in Boston and Portland for the Sea Dogs). I won't come up short since I can eventually get what I need on EBAY but I might have to pay a few bucks more than I want. I do appreciate your follow-up Astroburn.

Absolutely and have had pretty good luck. For the Sox it seems that I find lots of Papelbons, Ellsburys and Pedroias. Getting harder to find players I need. :)

I just picked up a Hillenbrand #29 ... Need him by chance or is that too old?

That's a neat find. Shea does not "qualify" to be included since he was not on one of 3 championships. I've also passed on a ton of Crawfords and Bays , which are cheap on Ebay. Thanks for thinking of me.

I fixed your typo Scott ;) That looks great! Congrats to the growing family and GREAT to see you posting as well!

Thanks Alex!! Good pun.....

All is great- I'll try and stop by once in a while. I'm still collecting Ted W. and Hall of Fame autographs but I only infrequently add to the collection.

Hope you are well :p

Yeah, I want one for me! There appears to be one Ebay seller who does small Detroit shirt quilts. I'm very detailed oriented, as was the quilter, so this is pretty cool. It has a Sox pattern on the reverse and is very heavy. You'd have fun chasing down shirts!!

Wow, that quilt is really nice and I'm sure they'll love it more that you put the time into acquiring the shirts to make it.

It was definitely a labor of love since my son and I watched many a game together. We also saw in person key post-season clinching games and Ortiz's last game last Monday. I know he'll enjoy it!!

I might have to steal this idea from you but with the Twins. I have a few of the tshirts already, but nowhere near enough

...I'll keep my eyes open for Twin shirts but guessing there are none here in the Northeast ;)

One word of advice- find an expert quilter to do this for you. It will be worth it!

Good luck and have fun!!

Surprisingly, there is an expert quilter in our area, which is saying something for where I'm at. I don't know if I'd ever get it done, but it would be a cool piece to have
