Title says it all. I have up to $1000 to spend on a lot to flip for a profit. Looking to get a solid return on the investment so don't even post if you are looking for ebay or ebay less the fees. What do you guys have? If you don't want to take the time to list everything and want to put some cash in your pocket quick let me know.

I have had way better luck taking that kind of cash to a show and buying. I took money from two tax returns to shows and cleaned up. Spent $750 at one and $900 at another. Easily made 1.5 my money back. Maybe it's just my area. Who knows.

I would love to do that, but there is not much for shows around my neck of the woods. There are a few in Appleton, WI from time to time, but it is just a bunch of guys asking book value for their vintage for the most part.

Not gonna get much interest when you tell people up front that your going to prison rape them.

Buying a large lot at a discount so the seller doesn't have to mess around listing a bunch of items is prison rape? Last I checked rape of the prison variety wasn't a win/win.

Only in your delusional mind is your scenario a "win/win"...some of you guys make me laugh on a daily basis with your disconnect from reality.

Why don't you hit up the crackhead thieves on Craigslist with their stolen cards? They'd be inclined to sell for pennies on the dollar, I'm sure.

I love how you guys try to rationalize this by acting like its SOOO hard and SOOOOO expensive to sell on ebay! Give me a break. Why don't you take your $1000 and buy guys with upside. Scour eBay and boards for good deals on players you think will net you a nice return. THAT'S how you make a profit. You don't tell people up front that you're going to screw them and offer them nearly half of what their cards are worth while trying to act like you're doing everyone some great service. Take this crap to Blowout, no one here is stupid and/or desperate enough to fall for this pitch. I doubt anyone over there is either, but your odds are better

the detractors need to be quiet. These types of transaction happen daily all over the place. The only people who may be delusional, are you.

Its amazing how little some of you know about how some people do business.

Yeah I am sure there are TONS of people surfing FCB that are looking to sell their cards for 60 cents on the dollar. However, there are lots of widows and scourned divorcees selling their ex-husbands collections on eBay for that type of discount, maybe he should hit up some of those.

once again, you have no idea what you're talking about. If you're good at what you do and buy prospects, giving up 20-30% is fine if you're making 200-300% which is what lots of guys can do, me being one of them. I dont have time to sell myself so I use one of the best in the business, phil mason to sell for me. He makes money, i make ALOT of money and everyone is happy.

Like I said, you dont know what you're talking about.

First off, repeatedly saying something doesn't make you right. Secondly, we'll just have to agree to disagree, I don't have the motivation to do this all day. I'll just sit back and see how many deals he gets done.

Thank you for making my point for me.

Actually, the fact i see it done all the times makes me right. You want to maximize your profits? Great, go for it but you dont need to comment in every post of this nature about your disdain for it.

Anyway, most deals will happen behind the scenes.

Thank you for your input and your opinion has been noted.

No, I prospect and i'm pretty good at it.

I get it though, its easy to be angry when you cant grasp a concept that some people will take cash and let someone else take the time to list, sell and package in order to make the extra 10-15% on their own.

Agree to disagree and move on.

Based on a specific offer I'm aware of, he's looking to make A LOT more than 10-15%, hence the majority of my disdain

Like it or not, these deals get done all the time. I understand they arent for everyone but they make sense to those who are in low on the product they are moving.

To make it make sense, the discount probably needs to be 25-30% because after fees and all the other factors, you're really only making 15 or 20 cents on the dollar.

That offer you are referring was an offer I made on a lot of BGS Base Topps RG3 and Luck RCS that I wasn't all that interested in. Seller asked what I would pay and I told him what I would be comfortable paying. If he knew what he wanted he should have shot me that price up front.

I am currently having conversations about potential deals with multiple members right now. I have made many deals on FCB in the past with guys trying to unload portions of a collection, lower end case break hits, or just stuff they have laying round in boxes that they don't look at.

It isn't like I am begging for people to sell me their stuff dirt cheap. I tossed this thread out there to see if there was anyone looking to move a larger lot quick. You are obviously not one of those people.

I must not be too big of a loser. Your feedback below shows you were happy with the transaction we had a while back.
