Well, things have happened in my life, and it looks like I'm going to need to turn to my hobby to get me thru. That means I'll be liquidating any and all of my Brewers stuff to get me to where I need to be. Also, and much more sadly, I'm probably going to have to tap into my Yount collection and liquidate a decent portion of that as well. I'd always said I would if I have to, and now it appears I have to.

Part of this has made me realize that I need to prioritize saving for the family over spending on my hobby. To allay anyone's fears: no one in my family is sick or dying, and I have not suffered a car or house disaster. But in order to take care of my family, I'm in need of about $3-$4K to get us where we need to be. I kind of wish it were a debt issue, so I would at least have myself to blame; but there really isn't anyone to blame in this situation, just the right thing to do.

Anyway, I've started a sales thread in the transaction area if you'd care to look.

This is basically just a Public Service Announcement to let you all know that family is more important than anything; but I think most of us already knew that :)

Take care.

Glad you're ok. Not to give you advice you don't need but have you considered selling everything but your Yount collection and then trying to pawn tv's, stereos, video game consoles, etc.? I ask because that stuff can be repurchased at the drop of a hat. Your Yount collection can't.

In any case I hope everything gets squared away for you.

Sorry to hear about the circumstances..but sounds like you have your overall priorities in the right place and a good attitude to boot.

good luck, hope it works out. you have a terrific Yount collection and i'd hate to see that reduced in any way, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Do you have any Yount logos or barrels? If so, I'll buy them and hold them until you're in a position to repurchase them

Glad everything is not "too bad" like your examples, but I can imagine it is a tough decision nonetheless! I think anyone here could be envious of your attitude! Good luck with the rearrangement!

Sorry to hear that man, hope all works out for you!

I'll second predator though; see if you can find anything else around the house. When I needed a little cash I got rid of the PS3, an extra TV, etc. All things that a) I didn't even really use much and b) easy to pick up again should things calm down.

Thanks for the helpful words guys. I've looked into other avenues as well, but this kind of HAS to be done to some effect. I'm going to see if I can hold on to some of my favorites, like my Fleer Nameplate and Absolute logoman. I'd rather move things that I've seen up a few times than items that are over 10 years old and would be nearly impossible to get back.

Sad to hear this. You have always been a generous member in the community and especially to me with my Gallardo collection.
I hope everything works fine for you and your family and you can continue your amazing Yount PC in the future.

Good luck with your situation. You have one of the craziest collections I've seen and you have always been a great member. If I didn't have a lot of debt on my hands, I would do what JoshHamilton is willing to do for you.
