This thread is not for despising someone or finding fault with someone and something.

But I'm just curious.

I saw one thread in my country, today.

That person said John Stockton was the best ever PG.

Of course, that person didn't deny Magic was the craziest but he said Magic was not pure PG so John Stockton is the best PG ever.

There were many comments(I didn't participate there though), Stockton fans said like this. "Who can break stockton's record in the future?"

non-Stockton fans said like "Of course, we don't deny Stockton's one of the craziest career in history. But Stockton didn't get any champ"

In short,

Stockton fans

Stockton > Magic > Zeke

non-Stockton Fans

Magic > Zeke > Stockton

or

Magic > Stockton > Zeke

(like 3 > 2 > 1)

(They didn't consider Bob Cousy and Big-O.

Because they(for me,too) didn't see their game. So don't know about that.)

For me,I don't deny Stockton's one of the craziest career in history but I think Zeke has better leadership as PG. And Magic was the craziest among them.

But that is just my OP.

What do you think about that ?

I'd agree that Stockton is the best true pg. Magic may have been a better player, but the best point guard in the league history is Stock. A point guard should make the players around him better, and no one will reach his assist records. Stockton also shot around .500, so he was very efficient when he did take shots. Having the steals record doesn't hurt either.

Stockton is the best distributor ever, Magic was the best passing/scoring PG ever.

Just wondering what you mean by best passing? I would assume that falls under best distributor. What good is a pass if it doesn't help the team score?

I meant like flashy and stylish, Stockton just got the assist most of the time, Magic didn't have near as many, but they were alot more flashy.

This is the way I see it.

Stockton is the best pure point gaurd

Magic is the Best showman as a point gaurd ever (Showtime :) )

Zeke is the Best Clutch point gaurd of all time (Altough Magic was not bad himself).

They we all damn good!!

Ok, that's what I thought. I definitely don't disagree but I'd rather a bounce pass that leads to a layup than a behind the back pass that leads to a missed shot.

Magic was probably the most valuable of the three; being a point-forward meant he could do way more for his team than just pass. Stockton was the best PG, though, IMO, in terms of running an offense and being a floor general.
