Orioles flirt with the WC and win 87 games on the performance of Matt Wieters who wins AL Rookie of the Year after posting a 25 HR 110 RBI season with a .300+ BA and .900+ OPS.

Runner up for ROY is none other than his teammate, Koji Uehara who pitches to a 3.80 ERA with 15 wins...

Albert Pujols stays healthy all season long and reveals the Ted Williams in his soul... and hit's .402 on the season.

Mark my words- Pujols stays healthy all year, he hits .400

(And no, I don't own a Pujols BC AU RC... although I wish I did- nothing really gained from this prediction other than bragging rights for calling the greatest season a hitter has had in the modern era.)

The D-Backs get to the Series and win it in 7. In the last game it's Chris B. Young who hits a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th to put the D-Backs up by 1 and of course earns MVP at the same time. :D

That's what I call a long shot but I think the D-Backs have the potential to get to the series and win... they just need to exploit what they have to make it.

Oh and I hope they play against the White Sox.

 Not at all, that's why I mention them at the end. However, I'm routing for Chris Young.

How's it going?

- Derek Jeter is among the other 103 or so players on the unreleased list.

- AROD is released or retires - the heckling and trash thrown at him by fans is too much to bear. Even Yankee fans turn their back on him because he's causing too big of distraction to the team. Monkeybrenner can't find a taker at the trade deadline and cuts him to try to remove the distraction and try to salvage the Yankee playoff hopes.

...only to fall dead last in the AL East behind Toronto, and Baltimore.

THat's right I predict the O's finish 3rd in the AL East and salvage a winning season. First in a LONG time.

Phillies are the second NL team in 80+ years to repeat and win the World Series.
Cole Hamels win the CY Young
Red Sox fall to fourth place in the NL East
Jorge Posada wins comeback player of the year
C.C. Sabathia wins 15 games against 11 losses with a 4.24 ERA and decides to get gastro surgery......

If the Red Sox ended up in the NL East that would be bold no matter what place they finish :?

Reimold of Baltimore and Beckham of Chicago fight for ROY

Cain and Lincecum combine to strike out 500 batters.
That will easily happen, my predictions:
A's will win their division

Lincecum will repeat as Cy Young with 20+ wins 275+ SOs

Cubs won't make the playoffs

I wouldn't say "easily" - they combined for 451 last year (186 and 265, respectively).

But fine, bold?

575.

Ok! Wes Hodges is one of the last cuts from ST and goes to triple A and bats .400/12 HR/50 RBI in the first couple of months of the season with only 5 errors. He is called up to the bigs after ALL-star break and stays on his torrid pace and his BC RC base auto spikes @ $100 per w/ the blues going for over $250. A guy can dream can't he about the last part can't I.

The first part is very possible.

The Rays will have about as good of a 2009 season as the Rockies had a 2008 season
