Player cuts off his hand during the off season while working on his fathers farm. He is a pitcher and 2 years before the accident, he had a new hand grown thru stem cells and reattached. To shorten the healing time once the new hand is attached, he then starts taking Myostatin Inhibitors which is a protein that enhances muscle regeneration.
MLB is going to have some huge problems with the fine line between "performance enhancing" and "corrective" and "recuperation enhancement" imo.
How is it performance enhancing to have a hand back? That's back to even.
See bolded
Yeah, I realize that part. But still it's to regrow a hand. Not take forever. Someone regrowing a hand I doubt is going to be doing very much serious lifting.
Quite true  Still, it raises an interesting question to see how MLB will handle medical innovations.
HGH is legal if approved by MLB in the first place.
