I just can't see him accepting this as an end to his career. I think he will want to rehab and come back for one more season for the sole reason of not going out on a sad low. Pride will make him pitch again.

As a Yankee fan, all this does is cap off what has been a horrible last four months.

It started when Montero was traded. Then Pineda was miserable, then he was hurt. Hughes sucks, Garcia sucks. Now the Yankees offense is miserable, the team can't win, and now Mariano is out.

i just feel its different because the red sox players never did any roids from their championship years whereas everyone on the yanks did roids and sold them. even yanks fans did roids see maier in the 96 alcs. it was just a roid factory thats what pisses me off. i guess the other thing i dont like about nyc is that stern rigged the 85 draft for the knicks and every team from that city cheats including mark messier in 94 with a corked hockey stick
