The always die in threes rule prevails. Weird.
Wife said the same thing today actaully she said it after My man Nick Adenhart was killed in the tragic acccident we have all
heard of.

Man the most was the voice of the Phillies is now gone from us.

RIP
Birdman
Harry Kalas
and Nick the young stud Adenhart

It certainly makes you wonder. Unfortunately I thought of that when Adrenhart passed. I was hoping it would not prevail though.

I just don't believe that stuff. Millions of people die every day. It's just coincidence that we've heard of these guys.

Very sad news.
He was a great man and remained positive and appreciative of his brief career in baseball.

Mostly I am not a believer in that stuff either, but it is pretty strange.

Very sorry to hear this news. Remember how excited I was as a kid in '77 to get his baseball card in a trade with a friend. Such fun memories of the days of "The Bird".

YOU KNOW
you guys and the dying in three thing, its so stupid. if you look for 3 deaths you can find them. if some one on the tigers dies soon then you'll say it was kell, fidrych, and that guy. go watch the movie 23 with jim carrey. the movie sucks ass but basically if you look for the number 23 you find it usually.

I remember vividly watching Mark during his magical '76 season. What a character and such a great talent in spite of his antics which people loved. It was a season that many people loved and not just Tiger fans.
It's another sad day in Tigertown. "The Bird" was just as much a part of Tiger lore as anyone and will truly be missed.

Another interesting note on Fidrych is that he turned down appearing at many card shows because they wanted to charge people for his autograph. He was just a simple guy who loved the game, and was never bitter that his career was shortened.

R.I.P. Mark. Great Player and even a better person. He will never be forgotten.

I had the privilege of meeting Mark Fidrych in 1981 as a ten year old. Met Park (the AAA Tidewater Tides 6,162 seat stadium) had promoted the night as one to see "The Bird" pitch, and it was a rare sellout. I took my 1980 Topps baseball card and a new baseball to get him to sign, and stayed late after the game with my Dad to meet him as he was boarding the team bus. He stopped and signed both of the items I presented him. Today, that ball sits among many above my desk at work, although I have brought it down to my keyboard level today.

It remains one of my happiest childhood memories.
