i saw that too. I could not believe it went that far. The third base coach was just standing there holding the handle.

A home run on a shattered bat? What a joke. I swear we'll see a home run on a bunt this year in Yankee stadium.

Gary Matthews(Phillies analyst/former player) is livid. He just said he doesn't think he ever saw that before.

I thought it was going to be a lazy fly ball since Werth took a couple of steps in when Tex hit it, then it just kept carrying out of the park. Pretty ridiculous

There is definitely something wrong with this park, and it has nothing to do with the wall distances. It is more the wind tunnel effect that the park creates. People know of CBP to be a HR hitters park, but the new Yankee Stadium is much worse.

Not really.

In 1923 here were the dimensions of Yankee Stadium.
285 ft. 395 ft. 460 ft. 490 ft. 425 ft. 350 ft. 295 ft.

Basically anything not down the line had to be a pretty good shot to be a home run and nothing was going out in center field.
