He's honest, and he does walk with a swagger. What do you expect from the guy that dominated the welterweight division for so long?

I just think as a person he's a ****. He preaches all this **** about Jesus and whatnot, and he doesn't live what he preaches. He's a complete jerk in real life. Pretty hypocritical if you ask me.

What he wrote in the book happened before he became a born again Christian.

It's hard to change your opinion of how past events happened.

He didnt like Tim when they first met because he didnt think Tim could fight and was a fat piece of crap...well, hes not the only one who thought that. But, as the book progresses, he talks about how him and Tim become really good friends, and Matt was the first one to call Tim after the steroid issue.

My wife gave me his book for my birthday last year. It's actually a good read.

Plus, being a Christian doesn't mean that you stop sinning. It does mean that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and that you strive to embody his example in your daily actions. But, since we are human - we struggle with sin. Our sin seperates us from Jesus, who was the only man to live his entire life without sin.

Having said all that, I do think that Hughes is arrogant. But, it would be awfully hard not to be after dominating that division for so long. He walks a fine line between arrogance and confidence.
