I follow him pretty closely and noticed that after his HR tonight, he now has 5 in the last 8 games.

I also just read that he is the first 20/20 for LA since Shawn Green in 2001.

I think right now, he still has a shot at being a 30/30 guy this year. Might be tough, but he is being placed much higher in the lineup now, letting him getting more at-bats and see more pitches.

I'm glad this guy is the future of the Dodgers. I think by the time Manny leaves, Kemp will be ready to be the power hitter for them. I'm glad I had a PC of him (I've since stopped collecting) because if he keeps this up in the playoffs...I will definitely be cashing in! Makes me happy as a former collector and as a Dodger fan to see him do well.

Hes going to be a great player for a lot of years.

I honestly think he is capable fo putting up #'s similar to what Vlad Guerrero was doing for a lot of years but with more SB's.

Probably just needs to cut down his k's a bit.

Not too many guys hit a home run in their first AB and drop down a bunt single in their second. He looks like he's going to be a star for a long time.

That's what I am hoping to see. LA needs someone, other than Manny, to be that star for a long time so a name can be identified with the team.

Actually, the young players all really look up to Manny. The media might portray Manny as this big joker on the field, but he is one of the hardest workers you will find in the game. Nobody works on his craft (hitting) more than Manny Ramirez does. Kemp actually uses the same timing mechanism that Manny uses when he hits, and it is a distinct change from previous years. Manny has had a big effect on loosening up the clubhouse and taking a guy like Kemp under his wing. Kemp is my favorite player and immensely talented, but we would all be kidding ourselves to think that Manny Ramirez didnt have any part of his maturation.

I remember when Kemp's name was tossed around as a possible trade for Erik Bedard...the year after Santana. Talk about ridiculous...

I'm not chasing it, so I though I'd link.

I don't collect any more but I'm watching just for the heck of it. I saw it when I was browsing his listings and prices tonight.
Would have been nice to have had I still been collecting though.

yeah i've lost out on every red refractor that's come up so I figure i won't be a factor on this one either.

I'll be chasing the Bowman rainbow though....already have the red 1/1 and the magenta plate, so i have a great start.
