Ridiculous card, but does anyone else find these Youtube videos about people's collections and box breaks absolutely unwatchable?? The commentary on 98% of them is B-R-U-T-A-L and I usually am forced to kill them about 30 seconds in, regardless of how sweet the cards are.

How can a value box be searched? It's one pack stuck to a piece of cardboard along with 6 other packs. It's hard enough to pull the pack off the cardboard without damaging the pack.

Plus, who's to say that pack searchers don't own shops or work at shops or frequent shops just as much as they do Wal-Mart or Target?

If I searched packs and did it for a living like this guy said. I would not care and post a video of it as soon as it is pulled.
Hell I would be video taping the breaks just in case. So I think this video is pure BS. Well the fact he searches is not BS .

Can someone please explain to me this moronic logic? As brilliant as this guy sounds that logic is just too deep for me to grasp. He sounds like he thinks he has a point, I am just not sure what it is. I mean I am sure his life partner Ricky gets it, I just dont.

wow this is seriously unreal. this is earth shattering for me at least. its the first time i have seen a pack searcher pull a card worth more than it costs to ship it. just crazy.

Crazy. I was lucky enough to pull a Blue Lawrie redemption out of one of those value boxes and thought that might be one of the better hits from it, but that is just nuts. I will admit it did come as a result of value box searching. The Target was out of them, so I had to search for a WalMart to buy it.

I wonder how much Topps packs out specific value boxes, or if they just broke a few inventoried cases and threw the packs in at random?

I don't have a huge problem with cards like that being available in a retail setting, but I can see why some folks would.

Saying good cards shouldn't be in retail packs is the same as saying people who only buy retail don't matter in the hobby, I don't get it. In any case, the odds are on the wrapper.

Me too, I think it would cripple sales of cases if the big buyers knew that they had ZERO shot at pulling THE BEST card from the product. So why would Topps do it? Oh yeah!! Because they're stupid and could care less about their customers

In fact, I would LOVE to hear the thoughts/opinions of you guys that busted 5, 20, or 40 cases of this stuff, now knowing that the best card in the entire product was on a Wal-Mart shelf in a $15 value box.

We really are stupid for buying Topps, but then again, we're the same group that gave Beckett Publications a prominent voice in the hobby

HOW IS 2011 BOWMAN ALREADY IN A "VALUE BOX" and what is a "VALUE BOX" anyways???

basically a blaster box of cards with "value box" printed on it to create the illusion that its a good deal. 14.99 gets you one hobby pack of chrome, a 2 dollar diamond code card, a over produced bryce harper "exclusive" refractor, and some retail packs of topps, or topps update (i cant remember which)
