Piazza=better hitter, hands down. The nod would have to go to Mauer for better catcher and athlete though.

Mauer's playing good...make that real good. If he's still playing good in a decade then we can compare him to Piazza (offensively anyway lol).
Piazza was an amazing hitter but was never though of as a great catcher...Mauer has the chance to be both. With two batting titles under his belt right now, Mauer's health is clearly the "make or break" factor on whether or not he can stay behind the plate. His bat is more valuable to the Twins than catching, so sparing his knees will be a serious consideration (sooner rather than later I would guess).

Since I've been picking up most of the quality gold autos I guess I'll be getting one of the Gold Wieters. No matter how FCB bros view this company/cards (split down the middle IMO), you can't help but appreciate the look at auto line-up of the company's exclusives.
