Matzek 1/1 Help

I saw the seller lower the price from 49.99 to, 29.99 with less than 24 hours left. I've purchased my fair share of lesser Rockies 1/1s for around this price. I.e.: 1/1s of Tristar, Just Minors, etc...for around this price.

I know some people loathe these types of threads, but I sincerely want to know if this is some sort of steal? I know it's a 1/1 by a 3rd-tier company, but it is still Matzek. Or, did I just get swindled; this is not a 1/1?

I would never buy a TriStar or a Just Minors. Absolutely no long-term value...

nice 1/1 for the PC
although the ROI, short term return, long term return, upside, downside, potential, college stats, high school stats, tball stats, price, shipping costs, bubble mailer costs to and from you, scouts' opinions, positioning within the organization, draft status, product, hype, and any other prospect terminology those prospecters want to throw out may not be there, it is still a 1/1 for a COLLECTOR if you collect him. i know I would have picked it up if i collected him, and I might even keep it because I COLLECT

I think it's a good price, just Tristar gets no respect. Find another card with an inscription from him and compare value, wait there isn't another, so I say good deal.

That was a good price. I believe the Mier went around 25 dollars so 30 for the Matzek is a good deal. If you hadn't hit the BIN, I would have. :x

As far as an investment....Not a good one, but for someone like yourself that sounds like a team collector, Great deal.

He should have scanned the back to show the 1/1 but the purple foil does mean it's a 1/1. I think it's a great deal.

Its a 1/1 of a baseball player you like, the only reason not to pull the trigger would be if you didn't have the cash.

I wouldn't say that's true at all. I sold my Just Minors Glossy 1/1 Auto of Fernando Martinez for $500 bucks in 2008. You can't say with absolute certainty that something has "absolutely no long term value" unless you have some kind of crystal ball laying around to consult.

Thanks, gents. I am a collector, I'm not prospecting Matzek. I'd be pretty happy, either way (whether it was 29.99, or 49.99). I just wanted to know why the low price. I'll show off the back, when it's in hand. Thanks, again!
