BGS does just fine

it was a mixup, and sometimes mixups happen

the problem with BGS refunding anything is that our process for submissions isn't completely worked out yet.

This is a beta service, and we are still working out bugs. Sometimes communication between myself and BGS falters.

We have a date now, the cards will pop on that date, and there aren't many days lost.

The cards got to BGS on the 26th of last month. The cards are due on the 29th of this month.

That is 22 days. Considering the gaff that took place, I feel that is acceptable.

Keep in mind that this is a smaller submission, so the return shipping process will be much easier.

You know where your card is. It is in this submission.

I am not sure what calendar you are using but it is not 22 days. If they got them on the 26th the time starts on the 27th. Here are the dates that make 20 days. 27, 28, 29, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, That is 20 Days and they should be due on the 23rd. Your calander is adding another whole week with the weekend, which means I/we will receive are cards 2 weeks after we are supposed to. This is unacceptable.

I agree. You agreed to a 20 day service and they gave you a service of lesser value. There should be some kind of compensation of services or money for the mix up from BGS. That being said I lay no blame on Cgilmo or anyone at FCB. I remain appreciative of the fact that they take the time and trouble to deal with all this so I can get a discount. Thanks again to everyone at FCB, and remember everyone these subs are a work in progress, there are bound to be mistakes along the way.

I think Chris and I agree on this point completely, however, that being said, we are at the whim of what they want to do and as I've pointed out a few other times, they have a great service (grading) but a not so great customer service.

Why doesn't someone besides GILMO contact beckett and show them this thread and BITCH and see if you can get some sort of free service or other credit for their F'up. I didn't get in on this submission, mainly because i wasn't going to send more money until the first order was straightened out. I was ready for the next submission, but seeing that there are still problems, I am not sure it is worth the few dollars saved. With this many cards, maybe a NEW PILOT program should begin. I still think that Beckett should allow us to submit to them directly, on a group rate basis, the fact that we are pooling together.

SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE.

Just wondering, what did exactly happen in the first submission??

Well, that depends on who you ask? I am sure the people who received all of their cards in a timely fashion will rave about the submission. Others were disappointed with the time frame they received the cards back from Chris, others had cards sent to wrong members(all returned to rightful owners as far as I know), and others(myself and MartinFFcollector) are still waiting for cards from the 1st submission. I am sure there were some other mixups I am missing, but that is the basic gist of things.

Most people thought the cards would arrive MUCH sooner.

Most people thought they would be treated the same, whether they submitted 5 cards or 50 cards, Chris made it clear that will not ever be the case.

Some people took a LONG time to get their cards.

Some people still haven't received their cards.

Simply put, not well organized.

For me, I finally got my cards, no problems, but I didn't want to send more money until I got my cards, so I missed the deadline for the next go-round. I am still wanting to submit again, but not until I hear EVERYONE IS FINALLY TAKEN CARE OF. Hard to believe there are still some that are not made good yet.

Re: May 2009 FCB group BGS Submission discussion

I rec'd my cards Sat. as well as a freebie Chris tossed in. Thanks. My concern was that I was told my cards were going out on the 3rd of June. Priority mail. My follow up responses were "Their on their way". Come to find out they were not shipped until the 18th. In the future, please be straight with me so I'm not coming home to a empty mailbox for almost 3 weeks and start to fear they are lost in the mail.

I understand this is a big undertaking and appretiate the effort you put forth.

Re: May 2009 FCB group BGS Submission discussion

you guys need to chill. so what if it takes 22 days. you are saving a load by taking part in this. I have submitted close to 200 cards through Chris and have not had a problem.

I think Chris should change the submission to atleast 5-10 card minimums, so that he doesn;t have to send out 100 packages everytime.

If you guys have a problem with his rules, don't take part in the sub, send them on your own and pay double what you are paying now.

Re: May 2009 FCB group BGS Submission discussion

in short

Issues with the previous subs resulted from me being over whelmed, and having very little free time.

I am still overwhelmed in many ways, but Phil Mason has graciously volunteered to step in and save my ass. You will not find someone more efficient and experienced than Phil in this regard.

He has logistics down to an art form, and is WAY more organized than I.

When this May sub comes in, I anticipate having it out quickly. And from here on out unless something goofy happens, Phil Mason will be handling the subs. I do not have the skill set, or the time to do it in a manner that you guys deserve.

When can we submit for the next go-round? Is there a new thread yet for it with the NEW address?
