I have not bought a card for about 4 months, maybe a little less. I just have not felt the urge to buy any new card for my collection. I'm definetly not selling any of my MIggy cards, but I might try and switch things up a bit to get back into collecting. I think I'm going to start a Red Sox collection. Just basically try to get as many nice cards of Red Sox as possible. 1/1's, supers, logo patches, bat barrels, patches, autos. Also I'm going to try and collect Red Sox prospects, getting red 1/1's, reds /5, and supers etc.
Has anyone else just compeltely changed the direction of their collecting focus before? How was it?

For now the cards on the top of my list are

Jacoby Ellsbury Superfractor
Jacoby Ellsbury red refractor 1/1
Jacoby Ellsbury bowman red 1/1
Jason Bay Gold /50
Daniel Bard Superfractor 1/1

I dont know, I'll think of more, but abosutley no Jonathan Papelbon cards.

That is definitely going to be a tough and expensive task, but the chase will definitely be fun! As far as any help that I may pose, I have a quite a few really high end Josh Beckett 1/1s including superfractors, logomen, bat barrels, triple All Star patches and many 1/1 autos which would be available if you needed them. LMK.

Do you still have the UD premier logoman of Beckett?

No, sadly someone in Taiwan now owns that card.

Nothing wrong with change.

But i will say, unless your dipping into the trust fund, your new venture seems
like it will grow frustrating fairly quickly.

Maybe its better to start with baby steps and get your collecting groove back.

Good luck with your future endeavors if you plan on bidding against Rob for Sox Supers

Miggy do you even have the funds necessary to make such a change in your collecting habits? I don't mean this to be sarcastic in anyway. 100% serious and genuine. I'm guessing that Red Sox collectors are quite abundant and I'm also guessing the high end cards won't be cheap by any means.

collecting supers, reds, logos, bat barrels, 1/1's, etc isn't cheap and extra especially if you are buying all these cards of only Red Sox players, yikes!!

The first two Jacoby's sold for 3500 each. There is no bowman red of his rookie. The Bard still has never surfaced. Bay probably won't be back next year.
