Maybe the MLB license isn't all it's cracked up to be?

I was anxiously awaiting BDP's release in hopes of picking up a few C.J. Cron Chrome Autos but after seeing the horriffic photoshopped picture they used, I might be focusing more on the Leaf Draft parallels. I understand, from an investment persepctive, the chrome will prove to be more sought after. However, as a collector I must say the Leaf version is much more aesthetically pleasing.

I love the argument of aesthetics. Truly refreshing to read on a board that is so focused on flipping.

My collection focuses on Angels' rookie cards and autos, thus my collection dollars are spread pretty thin. I am not a completist when it comes to collecting, I'd much rather have a card that is visually appealing than a card which is sought after by the masses.

Oh, I get man. Just good to read an actual collector posting about BDP and Leaf.

Another thing to consider, with the MLBPA RC designation, a guy like Cron could conceivably have a couple more chrome autos before his RC is issued. I would much rather have a pic in a spring training uni than an airbrushed mess.

Still like the look of the chromes. The Leafs are way too uniform for me to like.

It doesn't matter, not one bit. It's Bowman Draft and it's the best thing in baseball cards period.
No matter how many errors, how many redemptions, quality control issues, overproduction, first bowman chrome cards, etc etc, it doesn't matter. Bowman Draft Rules All. They have a license.

A license!!

They can photoshop MLB jerseys on MILB players. That's what's needed in this hobby.

Not top quality gem/near gem cards being a priority. (leaf)
Not low print runs (leaf)
Certainly not listening to collectors and prospectors and being a collector themselves.

I'm not even being facetious or sarcastic. Facts are Facts.

Jed Bradley Leaf Metal Blue /25 = 11 bucks
Jed Bradley Bowman Draft Blue /150 = 41 bucks with 17 hours left

Bowman Draft Thread = How much are you buying?
Leaf Thread = here's 1000 reasons why I'm not buying.

Me no comprende no mas
