Darn, I was hoping the Orioles would go after him. Smart signing by the Blue Jays. Wow their lineup is scary now.

SS - Reyes
LF - Cabrera
RF - Bautista
DH - Lind
1B - Encarnacion
CF - Rasmus
3B - Lawrie
C - Buck/Arencibia/D'Arnaud
2B - Johnson/Bonifacio

Of course there is mixing and matching. But can you imagine if Bautista hits 40 HR and Lind/Encarnacion hit 30 HR? Lots of runs with Reyes and Cabrera #1/2

Wow. This signing came out of nowhere. AA certainly stepped up this offseason. I wonder if they have any other moves. If Romero turns it around next year the jays will have a great starting rotation.

Izturis will be at 2B. Kjohnson is not coming back.

He was terrible in Atlanta but that was mainly because he got really fat and slow plus really didn't seem to give a damn. I'd imagine his PED usage started that off-season when he decided he'd better get in shape or have his career come to an end. If he stays in shape and motivated, he'll still be a pretty valuable player even without the PEDs.

I wonder if there is a PED clause - give back all monies paid since the beginning of the contract to the Blue Jays if he's busted for PED again. Oh wait, MLB union won't allow that.

I don't think they earn any $ when they're suspended though, this is a pretty substantial amount. Plus being suspended makes it tough to hit contract incentives.

EE will bat cleanup (until he gets popped for PEDs), Rasmus will bat 8th or 9th based on his poor 2nd half. Lawrie needs to stay healthy a year.
