Well, Mason Williams is about 2 years away if all goes well and he gets the fast track. Brett Gardner is still under team control for a few more years and Granderson is signed through 2012 with a team option for $13 mil in 2013.
So in Center Field...not so much.
But assuming Mesa does well in AA/AAA to begin next year, he could get called up at some point to fill a bench role since he can play all three OF spots. Note that he is 24, so while he's not old, he's not young either.

Mesa is very overrated. I saw him play in roughly 20 games last year in Trenton. He is a decent defender, but he chases too many pitches at the plate. He can mash fastballs, but curveballs he is better off trying blindfolded. If he has a better year in AA in 2012, he could be a bench filler at best.
