Met D.J. Jones today (Rays Prospect)

Working a baseball camp here and we always get a minor leaguer or 2 to come talk to the kids and then hit some BP for them. He came since he is on the Hudson Valley Renegades (Rays A squad). I knew his name since I had pulled an AU of him in Threads. Pretty chill guy from Alabama. He was actually drafted out of high school, and chose to go to the Rays instead of going to Auburn playing WR and CF (kind of like Tate). Didn't have anything to have him sign, but talked to him and told him I pulled his card. He was like "Oh, sweet, one of them Donruss ones?" He said he totally did not take the Topps contract (one of those $5 ones) and that he signed about 600 stickers for Donruss in a sitting.

Cool guy, know a few of you are Rays fans here so I figured I'd share.

He's got the quickest bat I've seen in person, which isn't much of a sample size, but he was hitting some bombs over 450 feet easily. Obviously this is batting practice for him, but still.

I met Jennings a few weeks ago. What a nice guy. Very very well rounded kid. I think we might be getting him for a show later this fall/winter.. look for it!! DJ is a good prospect. He does have a B.C though
