I'm of the opinion that he was rushed in some attempt to generate interest in the team. He hit .193 at High A as a 17 year old and was incomprehensibly pushed to AA as an 18 year old where he struggled again.

I still have some faith in him. He played well in New York before his injury. Sad to see him on waivers, but he is still young.

We will find out if he was unfairly rushed or whether he simply doesn't have what it takes to hit MLB pitching. Someone will pick him up and put him in their system. If he performs, he'll get a second chance.
