What's with all the hate on Freddy?

He was out all last year, but came back with the Tigers and had a pretty good September if I do remember correctly.

Seriously, I think he just needs to get his groove back. When he is on, he's got some good stuff

Yesssssssssss, I was afraid with the Sox considering him.

The problem with Freddie is he can be on, when he wants, but most of the time he is a pooch. It's the effort thing.

Cora is a perfectly fine middle of the road starting 2B. He is phenomenal defensively and so-so with the bat. Having Wright, Delgado, Beltran, and Reyes allows the Mets to go light on the offense out of the 2B position

Its just a few guys to add some depth, neither one is projected to be a starter.

Cora is actually a very good utility player to have on the bench, and perhaps it will light even more a fire under Castillo.

Garcia is solid when he is healthy, that is a big if and when.

Mets will sign Sheets next, and perhaps Dunn.

EDIT: FYI

The Mets have signed free-agent OF Rob Mackowiak to a $600,000 minor-league contract, according to the New York Post.

I just don't get it... a guy like Garland (and many others) is still around, most likely for a good price, and they go with a guy who has barely pitched in two years?

Actually, he is slightly above average defensively and below average with the bat. I'm pretty sure his only HR the last two season is the one a Blue Jays OF bobbled and swatted over the wall.
