Got some nice tickets to last nights Mets game...boy, do the Mets really suck or what...most of the stadium wasn't even into the game from the beginning! ::facepalm::
Anyway, went around 4:40 to get in early to see BP and get some Braves autos. Surprisingly, I was only 1 of 2 guys waiting for Braves autos above their dugout (the other guy knew Omar Infante so he wasn't really looking for autos!)
What happened to all the Braves fans??
So, watched, waited, saw Martin Prado get hit in the leg during BP and he just dropped like he was shot! He was rolling around in pain and the Mets trainer and finally the Braves trainers came out and carried him out. Tough sight to see so that kinda ruined the "happy" mood the Braves had.
Anyway, first out was good 'ol coach Eddie Perez, got him on a ball (remember, I am the only one asking for autos above the dugout for like 1 hour!).
Next, saw Bobby Cox and got him.
Next come the players...saw a bunch, most came out for BP and ignored my request (as I expected). Saw Tommy Hanson (he was my #1 target from the beginning) come out, yelled out his named but he just walked to the outfield...
Waited, and waited... BP finally ends for the Braves and they were all entering the dugout. I was right above the entrance...saw Tommy...I screamed loudest to try to get him...GOT HIM! I was stoked!
Tommy signed for the (now) 5 fans that were there! Next, I wanted to get a Jair Jurrjens auto since he's a stud on the mound...he knew a guy and was talking to him in a side entrance to the clubhouse. I waited till he was done asked him to sign and he signed with a smile...wow, what a rare sight!
Anyway, here are the signers and non-signers:
Got (in order):
Bobby Cox
Eddie Perez
Mike Gonzalez (funny guy!)
Reid Gorecki (local boy... but should stop biting his nails every 2 seconds)
TOMMY HANSON
Jair Jurrjens
Signed for others (but I did not want to lose my spot):
Matt Diaz
Adam Laroche
Stiffed me (remember, I'm the only one asking for autos above the dugout):
Kris Medlen (twice)
Clint Sammons (twice)
Garrett Anderson (gave me a dirty look)
Rafael Soriano
Peter Moylan
I contemplated leaving after BP but hung around for the game and left in the 8th. I'm very happy with the Hanson. Here are the pics:
