Dunno if this has been posted. Maybe he can sign some of his cards now.

A's top pitching prospect Michael Inoa has been shut down indefinitely with a sore right elbow.
Inoa, 17, underwent an MRI this week that should tell us all a little more. "We're in the process of determining how severe it is," assistant GM David Forst said Saturday. Inoa (or Ynoa, depending who you ask) was given a record-setting $4.25 million signing bonus in July.

If it's Tommy John, i'd write him off as a top prospect. This is why I never buy pitchers and usually sell pitchers off.

Isn't he another one of those guys who is barely old enough to drive?

You guys clamoring for Hyper to get a GED and enter the draft early should take this as a sign. Most 17 year olds' bodies are not physically mature enough to handle a long professional baseball season.

....if you're actually comparing a 17 year old pitcher to a a 17 year old hitter in regards to injuries, I don't know what to tell you. Amazingly, most people don't remain 17 forever and sometimes actually grow!

Catchers are not just hitters. I caught in high school and tore my UCL. I was the our only real option at catcher and between preseason tournaments, district ball, and another showcase team I played for the stress on the elbow was too much.

....OR you could have made a bundle on any of the other cheap buy in pitchers out there like many others have. There is just as much profit to be made off pitchers as there is with hitters.

Throws right.... im guessing he signs with his right hand as well. Im sure the A's wont mind if he continues to over work that right arm to sign 1000s of Autographs.
