Michael Pineda- Thoughts

What do you guys/gals think about this kid?? From a purely prospecting point.

He is a very big guy, young with highest upside of all M's prospect pitchers.

So far when healthy he has been a strikeout machine. Throws a hard sinker and what other's call an "above-average" slider. Was on the DL for most of 2009 with elbow issues, but if the kid stays healthy and reaches his ceiling I imagine him as a solid #2 starter in the majors.

Lots of if's but there always are with high upside guys.

I have no idea how to embed video but here he is in action in an intrasquad game from March 2nd...
