I was hoping Saunders stayed in the minors for the rest of the year and came up with some hype into '10 spring training. I might be the only one hoping he wouldn't get called up. Sometimes these kind of call ups hurt prospects values (unless they come up and catch fire.. ala Jay Bruce)

I still think BGS 10's are underrated. Out of the /199 of those made that could easily be the only one that would grade a 10. I've graded bulk lots of 30-60 of a parallel and not got a BGS 10. ('04 Blue, '05 Greens, and '02 Unc. from thepit.com). I've only got 2 10's out of all the grading I've done.

This is quite a signal sent by a team who once viewed Balentien as a future staple of their outfield. But with just 12 home runs and a 30 percent strikeout rate in 401 major league at-bats, the Mariners were clearly unhappy with his progress. Remember that he is just 25 years old, with plus-power, so he'll find a new home before long.
