I gotta say, just the degree of defensiveness shown here says a lot about the OP and his strategies. Regardless of what is said here, I think what needs to be taken away from this issue is clear as day.

So is your lack of intelligence.

Well to be on topic, VERY NICE stuff Eric! In all honestly I don't care much for this Taylor kid (pay no attention to my sig!...I said Look Away! :P ) but I'm sure you'll do just fine (as there were many that said Taylor peaked last year & while it is always a smart move to sell during the peak, who is to know just when "the" peak is?). I moved some Taylor stuff last year & was able to scoop alot of it back up for good deal's in the offseason (player-wise, you can do this across the board) but in no way did I ever think Taylor SV's were peaking last year, & in no way do I believe they are at thier peak now. If he doesn't get called up then his stat-line is going to be completely ridiculous (even moreso than it is now) & whether he gets promoted or a Sept call-up or not, he's probably nailed down a pretty prestigious spot in the "Hype-Machine's" (BA) top 100 & may even claim the Phillies #1 spot (I only say "maybe" due to the M.Taylor "Hater-aide" that BA has previously been sipping on up until previous weeks where they claim to be "believer's"- but I'll believe that when they prove it!)...If you think he is getting noticed/hyped now then just wait! ;) :D

1. I had no idea what your buy in was, so that is a very tough call to make but I still see the same at current prices.

2. Longoria and Upton too have both been great opportunities to make money if you are a person who likes the young stars rather than the prospects, so it is hard to call them clowns.

3. Your buying habits always seem to follow the trends (there were guys on here pimping Taylor months ago, same can be said with Hanson) and as they start to get hot, you show up with a mailday.

But honestly man, to each their own, you can see whats in your paypal account and I can't, if you are raking in the dough with your strategy then more power to you.

Please expound and support your statement with detailed accounts.

How does a guy with 300 at bats batting .337 ~ 'start to get hot' in a week?

This is my first mailday EVER here and the last.

I don't have time at the moment to dig through all your old posts and find who else aside from Taylor and Hanson I would cite as examples. However, I think it is worth noting that a whole bunch of users immediately chimed in with the same sort of comment. Whether this perception is legitimate or not can be debated but it undoubtedly exists and didn't come out of thin air.

As I said, at the end of the day what really matters to a prospector is your "income statement" and only you see that, so if what you are doing is working, more power to you.

The great thing about prospecting is there is no right way to do it or everyone would already have it figured out. It's his money. Let him be.

The opinion on Taylor still applies.

Parra is another one, I think you were big on him.

First off, nice mailday.

also, I am kinda curious.....what makes this thread any different from any razor thread, other than the fact it's not a razor thread? It seems to me that the shoe is now on the other foot. I don't have any problems with any of the people already involved in this thread, but it seems that 2 of the Mods here are attacking a member based on who and what he has been buying.

I am just curious, what makes it ok for you guys to bash someone based on what he buys, but it's not ok for any of us to bash a certain product clearly being pimped on these boards from time to time?

First off, we are members too, with the ability to respond like everyone else. We aren't held to any different standard. There also is no "attacking" going on, but rather observations are being pointed out and he is getting overly defensive about them. His reactions are going into name calling, and that's only coming from him.

My original question was (and it never got answered) was why buy Taylor now? The intent was never to attack.

Same reason why I am buying stock........it is in my best estimate that the value will increase over time and that my ROI will be suitable to the proposed time frame in relation to the time value of money.

I didn't know that was so difficult to figure out :?

There are some massive egos in this thread, and it sickens me. I know for a fact that everyone in this thread has made their fair share of prospecting blunders (including myself), so I think everyone should just get the **** off of their high horses and chill out.
