Hey guys,

I won this and I am wanting to know if you guys think it is authentic or if you don't think so tell me why. I personally think its authentic but I want your guys opinions. If you think its real tell me why you think so and vice versa.

honestly its just to hard to tell if its real or not, mantles is one of the most faked autos of all time and people became REAL good at faking it, i wouldnt touch anything of his that wasnt inserted into packs

Yea that is very true. I decided to take a chance and I am getting a quick opinion from PSA right now.

Just got the email from them in less than 10 minutes saying likely not genuine. Good thing I haven't paid.

psa/dna will poof the auction, the downslopes of the M's was the first thing I noticed...

I've done this a couple of times, hit the BIN, then get the PSA opinion before I pay, especially if the seller guarantees that it will pass. If it passes, great, it not, which I have not had happen yet, I would tell the seller "no thanks."

If its not stated in the auction, I'd ask before I pay "Do you guarantee that this will pass authentication?" If they agree, get a quick opinion and then if it comes up bogus, dont pay. If they wont back their item, thats enough to stay away anyhow.

If he say it will pass and doesn't, it is good that you won the auction first. Now you can leave negative feedback and warn others this guy sells fakes.

There are 1,000s of Mantle fakes out there. This guy may have every reason to believe it's legit.

The problem here is that many many fakes have made their way into packs

and which packs are these? im not talking about the newer cut signatures of mantle, im talking about the 91 and 92 scores and 94 ud's

I did do it during the auction. I saw the auction with it had 10 minutes left and I put it in on quick opinion and I won the auction and afterwords found out it wasn't authentic. I was surprised somebody got back to me so quickly.
